If they do surprise us and add the trees back into the game I'd be thrilled, but putting them on the cash shop would serve to make them more widely available while not totally crashing the market, and at the same time it would put a real world (gameplay/time-based) value on the trees as being less than what they're selling for on many servers as most players could more easily spend $12 than farm up 10m+ Gil on a single tree, which could benefit SE pretty well considering what future housing wards and options might look like as well as players having the option to use multiple trees per yard. I'm not necessarily advocating that they put it on the cash shop as much as accepting that it's the most likely place it'll go, given the way they've handled event items in the past. I could be wrong, but it's what I'd expect anyways. That leaves them with gouging the price to get the most out of those limited sales.īased on their history of selling old event items on a cheaper price scale than original cash shop only items, and the current pricing of housing items, and taking into consideration the popularity of these trees (because you know they're going to cash in where they can) I'd say the price would more likely be around $8 to $12 usd, probably on the higher end. They know the trees are popular and housing is limited, so sales are going to be limited. I'm curious what all the people vying for it to go onto the cash shop would deem too expensive, because I can't see it anywhere near the $1-3 people seem to be suggesting. At this point the current glamour gear is all bound. They have before, but it's been quite awhile since they've had items like that.
